Mount Sinai PPS strives to engage and develop members of our workforce for success in population health. We are partnering with our network partners and industry leaders on staff development strategies and we are in the process of developing tools on building care teams, enhancing staff capabilities, and increasing the talent management resources of our partners.
Some of our current initiatives include:
Clinical Integration Learning Center
The Clinical Integration Learning Center (CILC, pronounced “silk”) is a learning management system that supports workforce transformation for population health. It provides users with access to e-learnings, registration for classroom-based trainings, resources and documentation.
This application allows healthcare professionals to:
- Enroll in innovative clinical courses
- Access a library of resources
- Learn at their own pace - start and finish courses at their own leisure
- Receive continuing education and/or medical credits for completing certain courses
- Review and assess learning progress through tracking system
CILC is accessible only to Mount Sinai PPS partners who have Community Gateway access. Click here for access to Community Gateway. For questions about these classes, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Introduction to Population Health
Learn more about population health by following our patient Joe on his health care journey in our What is Population Health? video. Joe’s experience should feel familiar as he faces the same barriers many patients encounter in New York City and across the United States. This video tells the story of Joe’s experience in the current health care system and provides insight into how a population health approach can improve his experience and outcomes.
Through CILC, MSPPS Workforce offers instructor-led trainings and web-based courses.
Value-Based Care (VBC) Training is a set of courses that provide healthcare professionals with an understanding of ongoing industry change and the capabilities needed to be successful during our transformation to population health. Some of the courses offer Continue Education Credits and Continuing Medical Education Credits free of charge to workforce in our network. Breakfast and lunch are available for full-day trainings, and either breakfast or lunch is provided for half-day trainings.
